Descriptions of Yoga / Fitness Styles |
| • | Astanga Yoga: Strengthen and lengthen, series of postures - realign body |
| • | Gentle Yoga: Basic yoga postures, stretch for all levels |
| • | Kundalini: Uses energy - raise yoga awareness through breathing, stretching and holding a pose |
| • | Limbercize: Designed for people age 55 and older. Uses a complete range of motion - maximize flexibility in order - improve muscle tone |
| • | Pilates: Concentrates on the core muscles, abdominals and lower back; class consists of a series of mat exercises using a combination of stretch and isometric contractions |
| • | Light Pilates: Beginner - intermediate level |
| • | Pilates Plus: Advanced Pilates exercises for experienced level Pilates |
| • | Pilates with weights: All levels of Pilates incorporating hand-held props - use - stretch and focus on the core |
| • | Restorative: Uses props - help still and soothe the mind |
| • | T'ai Chi: Uses slow, concentrated movements and shifting of body weight - produce better balance, strength and stability |
| • | Vinyasa Yoga: Flowing postures for all levels |
