INTRO TO YOGA
Open to brand new beginners who are interested in developing a yoga practice, this 4 week series lays the foundation for a life-long yoga practice. Feel comfortable and relaxed as you learn the fundamentals of yoga alongside fellow students who are also beginning their yoga journey. Stay tuned for future Dates. Be a Beginner.
Learn the fundamentals of yoga. Whether you're a beginner or just looking for a refresher course, this class is for you! Emphasis will be on basic alignment of postures, breath awareness, and simple meditation techniques. Variations and modifications will be offered to make this class accessible to students of every level and experience. Be Basic.
A nurturing, slow-paced, and relaxing practice. Postures will be approached in gradual steps, with plenty of time to focus on breathing and repetition. The goal being a restorative experience; building confidence and experiencing the benefits of the postures. Be Gentle.
VINYASA FLOW (mixed levels)
Set to the rhythm of your breath, this dynamic flowing class takes students seamlessly through a creative and intelligent sequence of poses. Prepare to move and sweat. Some yoga experience recommended, but teacher will offer suggestions appropriate for all levels. Open to All. Be Dynamic.
This gentle. grounding, and nourishing practice relies on long holds, props, and gravity for deep release of tension and tightness in the body. Open to All. Be Grounded.
Experience a deep sense of calm and relaxation during this supportive and passive practice that relies on the use of props and prolonged holding of a few simple poses. Open to All. Be Restored.
YOGA FOR ATHLETES
Yoga will enhance your performance as an athlete-not just physically but mentally and spiritually as well. In yoga for athletes you will develop whole body strength, increase your flexibility, balance, mental focus and awareness of breath. Be Strong.
Yoga for Athletic Conditioning: a vinyasa class
Fast paced Vinyasa flow focusing on strength and building range of motion
Yoga for Athletic Balance: gentle flow
Slower paced Vinyasa focusing on flexibility, core strengthening and stretching over strengthening
SEVEN SPIRITUAL LAWS OF YOGA (a gentle class)
Based on Deepak Chopra's book, The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success, this gentle class brings the spirit back to yoga . Every class plays a crucial role in yoga's path to enlightenment while providing you with a wealth of mantras, breathing techniques, and yoga poses. Be Spirited.
This is a class designed specifically for teens! Through this movement based asana class linked to breath (and accompanied by music), teens will gain a sense of well-being, develop strength and flexibility, and learn breathing and relaxation techniques to facilitate concentration, help with stress reduction, and provide tools to connect with their bodies in a loving way, all the while having a blast with their peers! Be Moved.
Learn time-tested and research proven techniques to help integrate body, mind and spirit through gentle movements, postures and breathwork. Benefits include stress reduction, improved sleep, strengthened immune system, balance and muscle tone. No previous QiGong experience necessary. Wear flexible clothing and comfortable shoes. Be Gentle.
TAI CHI FOR HEALTH
A form of Chinese exercise that consists of relaxed, gentle and fluid movements. This course teaches the Yang- style short form, and can be practiced almost anywhere, by anyone. Be Gentle.
