Introduction to the

Life-Changing Art of Mindfulness Meditation

with Beth Gallos &

Jackie Frederick-Berner

Have you ever wished you could: Find your calm during stressful situations? Put down your cell phone long enough to smell the roses? Fully connect to the moment instead of rushing to cross off the next thing on your ‘to do’ list?

Mondays, May 7, 14, 21, 2018

About The Event

Spend three Mondays in May experiencing the enriching effects that mindfulness meditation can have on your life. This three-part workshop will explore the fundamentals of mindfulness meditation and how it cultivates mindfulness –the ability to tune into your senses and be present to what’s happening moment by moment instead of getting lost in the storyline of your thoughts. Through mindfulness exercises, meditation instruction, discussion and exposure to various meditation techniques, you will gain a clearer awareness of your thoughts and emotions. You will learn how to begin a simple meditation practice that you can do anywhere along with suggestions on how to make it a habit.  If you’re a regular meditator, you’ll learn how to deepen your existing practice.  And you’ll learn easy ways to bring mindfulness, along with gratitude, appreciation and joy into your everyday life.

Through the HAC, she has facilitated guided walking meditations for Rye teachers and residents. Mindfulness meditation has and continues to deeply enrich her life and Jackie is passionate about sharing this practice with others so they too can experience the fruits that mindfulness has to offer.

Beth is a mother of three boys, registered yoga instructor, mindfulness instructor and experienced School Psychologist.  In her practice, Beth sees first-hand the positive impact a mindful and holistic approach to health and wellness can have.  Beth is committed to bringing this work to individuals, families and the community to strengthen all three and help them reach their full potential.
