Time

Friday-Sunday, February 1-3, 2019

Friday: 6:00-9:00pm

Saturday & Sunday: 10:00am-6:00pm

About The Event

Friday night from 6-9, the first segment of the training, will be a public workshop - Yin Yoga for Self-Care - which anyone can attend. This class will utilize the slow and stretchy practice of Yin Yoga as a tool for finding balance in our over-stressed, over-worked minds and bodies. (Here's a link to the Friday Class: https://www.wainwright.org/yin-yoga-for-self-care-feb)

Saturday and Sunday are designed for teachers, therapists and curious students to learn how to weave Yin Yoga into their existing practices. We'll do an in-depth study of Yin asana (postures) as we carefully consider how to best modify the shapes to meet the needs of the individual. In addition, we will look at how to incorporate meridian and chakra work, pranayama and meditation to help balance the nervous and  energetic systems.

You can expect a blend of lecture, discussion, personal practice and hands-on work.

Upon completion of this course, students will receive 20 YACE Continuing Education hours through Yoga Alliance.

Course topic will include:

  • in depth asana study
