BASIC FLOW YOGA

with Iekelien Buurman

Set to the rhythm of your breath, this mellow flowing class takes students through a creative and intelligent sequence of poses. Prepare to move!  Some yoga experience recommended, but teacher will offer suggestions appropriate for all levels. Open to all.

BASIC YOGA

Learn the fundamentals of yoga. Whether you're a beginner or just looking for a refresher course, this class is for you! Emphasis will be on basic alignment of postures, breath awareness, and simple meditation techniques. Variations and modifications will be offered to make this class accessible to students of every level and experience. Open to all.

GUIDED MEDITATION

HEARTFULNESS MEDITATION

 Experience what happens when you let your body breathe, bring your attention to your heart, and feel. Heartfulness offers a simple, effective method of meditation that is open to all.

MINDFULNESS MEDITATION

Learn to quiet your mind, tune into your senses and be present to what’s happening moment by moment instead of getting lost in the storyline of your thoughts. Through mindfulness exercises and meditation instruction you will gain a clearer awareness of your thoughts and emotions. Open to all.

QiGONG

with Dana McAvity

MONDAYS

6:30-7:30PM 

Learn time-tested and research proven techniques to help integrate body, mind and spirit through gentle movements, postures and breathwork. Benefits include stress reduction, improved sleep, strengthened immune system, balance and muscle tone. No previous QiGong experience necessary. Wear flexible clothing and comfortable shoes. TAI CHI

with Stu Reis

MONDAYS & WEDNESDAYS 11:00-12:00PM

A form of Chinese exercise that consists of relaxed, gentle and fluid movements. This course teaches the Yang- style short form, and can be practiced almost anywhere, by anyone. 

TAI CHI (FORM ONLY)

As an extension of the instructional classes, students with a basic knowledge of the Yang style Short Form will practice the complete sequence of movements of the Form with and without voice-over, enabling students to refine their movements and achieve the “Meditation in Motion” that brings about the subtle integration of mind and body.

 

Turning off rational thinking and tapping into visualization, imagery, and intention, the fluid, rhythmic and synchronized movements lead to greater vigor and energy, greater flexibility, balance and mobility and an improved sense of well-being.    

THERAPEUTIC YOGA

​This therapeutically oriented yoga class is designed  to meet the multidimensional needs of our students. This gentle, breath-centered yoga practice empowers students to go inward, get quiet and listen to their bodies in order to discover their inherent ability to heal and live life well. Open to all. 

VINYASA FLOW

Bring the spirit back to yoga with a blend of  meditation, breath-work, yoga philosophy, sun salutations, and asanas (poses) to bring your body, mind and spirit into alignment. This is a gentle yoga and meditation class open to all levels.
