About the Event

We all know how good it can feel to get outside. The warm sun and gentle breeze can do wonders for your mind, body and level of stress. But did you know that these outdoor interactions have recognized medical value? Studies have shown that the more time you spend connecting with the natural world around you, the better it is for your health, including your blood pressure, digestion, immune system, sleep, longevity and quality of life.

The practice of “ecotherapy” helps you notice the absence of nature in your life, and identify ways that you can incorporate more of the therapeutic and restorative value of a deeper connection with the natural world into your life. More than just helping you “feel good”, this process grounds and harmonizes you in ways that can be measured, bringing health and healing to your body and mind.

This interactive workshop will get you outside and show you just how healthy being outside can be. You’ll learn techniques to help you maximize the benefits of the natural world all around you, as well as some of the science behind these healing phenomena, and leave with much more than just having gone for a ‘walk in the park.”
