About the Event

A 4-day getaway in a very serene setting at a stone’s throw of the Big Apple, NYC! Come join us and charge your batteries! You will experience 4 yoga sessions and 2 mindfulness/meditation session. The yoga sessions will consist of a mix of different yoga styles; Critical Alignment Yoga, Hatha Yoga and Yin Yoga.

The setting is the Wainwright House a magnificent replica of a 17th century French Chateau on the waterfront in the town of Rye, NY. The serenity and beauty of Wainwright inspires creativity, growth and connection. Rye is just 30 minutes away from downtown Manhattan.

The Wainwright House, Fonrose House and the Carriage House were built on 5 acres overlooking Milton Harbor in Rye, NY. Together they form the oldest holistic learning center of the United States

We will have the Fonrose House to ourselves. This 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom a large and cozy living room, full service kitchen, dining room and a beautiful terrace overlooking the water. The house sleeps 16. The bedrooms are for 2, 3 or 4 persons and are therefore ideal to share with friends, so register with a friend! The Fonrose House is not luxurious but you will appreciate the ambiance and authenticity.

Take the train or order an Uber to Manhattan. Explore the cozy village of Rye, with nice boutiques and restaurants. Go for a run in the beautiful area at our doorstep and admire the amazing villas along the shore. Relax with a good book on the terrace of your ‘own’ Fonrose overlooking the Milton Harbor with the skyline of New York in the background.

How to get there

If you are flying in from abroad, Uber is a very easy and convenient means of transportation that will bring you to Rye from John F Kennedy International Airport. Uber can also take you around in Rye and the area. Another nearby airport is La Guardia.



Cancellation Policy

A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.

The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled up to 30 days before the arrival date.

The rest of the payment should be paid 30 days before arrival.

About The Instructors:

Iekelien is the organizer and yoga teacher of this retreat. She has a background in the European corporate world and is a down to earth instructor. She has been teaching yoga for 12 years now and loves to teach in a clear and straightforward way. As she was educated in different yoga styles, both in the Netherlands and the USA, she blends the workout in a way that feels just good for you with personalized solutions. The classes are sequenced thoughtfully and accessible for every – body!

Beth Gallos: Beth Gallos, MA, CAS is a mother of three boys, registered yoga instructor, mindfulness instructor and experienced School Psychologist. In her practice, Beth sees first-hand the positive impact a mindful and holistic approach to health and wellness can have. Beth is committed to bringing this work to individuals, families and the community to strengthen all three and help them reach their full potential.
