Live Music All Afternoon

This year’s Summer Kickoff features an exciting mix of local singer‑songwriters, student performers, and hometown bands bringing fresh energy and great music to the lawn.

Paul Jensen

Paul is all about connecting with people – as a songwriter, recording artist and live performer. His Americana-style music combines the power of storytelling with infectious melodies, exploring timely themes and universal emotions. His writing is inspired by some of his favorite artists from Jason Isbell and Drew Holcomb to Tom Petty to Jackson Browne.

Paul’s long and winding songwriting road has taken him from California to Cuba, where NYC avant-garde dance troupe Ballet D'Angelo performed to his music at the International Ballet Festival in Havana. Today, Paul is known for his engaging live shows and is the founder and host of the Rye, NY-based Sound Shore Songwriter Series featuring local singer-songwriters.

Paul has headlined venues including the Cutting Room, The Bitter End, and Arlene’s Grocery, and his music has been featured on local radio stations from WPKN (Bridgeport, CT) to WUNH (Keene, NH). He’s currently in the studio finishing up his fourth album. Catch him solo acoustic or with his band in and around the greater NYC area.

In his spare time, Paul is a musician volunteer for Nashville-based Musicians on Call, which brings the healing power of music to patients in hospitals across the country.
