Introduction to Mandalas:
Saturday, October 5, 2019
1pm to 4pm
Discover your inner artist. Give yourself an afternoon of relaxation and play. Immerse yourself into beauty, color and form in a practice that fosters mindfulness and awakens your creativity. The mandala is a circular art form that anyone can learn how to draw. This workshop includes a centering meditation, simple step-by-step instructions, and plenty of time create something uniquely yours. No art experience needed. All tools and supplies provided. Share the creative joy and bring a friend!
Root Chakra Mandala Art:
Saturday, October 5, 2019
6pm to 9pm
Create art to feel centered and grounded. Slip into the creative zone and connect with your root chakra, the energy center that provides support for a healthy body, mind, and spirit. Balancing the root chakra helps to feel safe, grounded, and peaceful. This class begins with a Soul Journey Meditation designed to gently awaken the root chakra and your creativity. The root chakra checklist reveals how your root chakra is affecting your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. You'll quickly and easily draw the root chakra mandala using one of Kathryn’s new chakra stencils. It's fun to add color, patterns, and words into your chakra mandala artwork as you focus on positive intentions and affirmations. No art experience needed. All tools and supplies provided.
Labyrinth Mandala Art:
Sunday, October 6, 2019
10am to 1pm
Awaken your creativity and reflect on your life’s path. What do labyrinths and the expressive arts have in common? Both offer us the time and space to unplug from the busyness and distractions of our daily lives. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to draw a labyrinth in the medieval style inspired by the labyrinth found at the Cathedral of Chartres, France. Once drawn, we’ll “walk” along the path by adding color, patterns and journal writing. This is a lovely activity that will give you time to reflect on where you’re at on your life’s journey. No art experience needed. All tools and supplies provided.
