It’s the remarkable network of muscles at the base of the pelvis that supports the bladder, bowel, uterus, and other pelvic organs—and quietly plays a role in far more of daily life than most of us realize. Pregnancy and childbirth. Sex. Core strength. Exercise. Going to the bathroom. Even the seemingly simple act of laughing, sneezing, running, or jumping on a trampoline without leaking.
It does extraordinary work. And most of us were never taught how it works at all.
Don’t Make Me Laugh brings together three pelvic floor physical therapists and a high-risk OB/GYN for a candid, illuminating conversation about a part of the female body that has been overlooked for far too long.
