About the Event

Our team of certified and experienced instructors will introduce your employees to the benefits of yoga and tai chi. We will assess the needs of your staff and recommend the type of practice most needed.  Classes include, Beginner Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Chair Yoga,  Tai Chi. Classes are offered in-house at WH or on-site at your office.

What is Tai Chi: A form of Chinese exercise that consists of relaxed, gentle and fluid movements. This course teaches the Yang- style short form, and can be practiced almost anywhere, by anyone. Open to all.

What is Beginner/Gentle/Therapeutic Yoga: This gentle and therapeutically oriented yoga class is designed to meet the multidimensional needs of the students. This breath-centered yoga practice empowers students to go inward, get quiet and listen to their bodies in order to discover their inherent ability to heal and live life well. Open to all. 

What is Vinyasa Yoga: Set to the rhythm of your breath, this dynamic flowing class takes students seamlessly through a creative and intelligent sequence of poses. Prepare to move and sweat. Some yoga experience recommended, but teacher will offer suggestions appropriate for all levels. Open to all.

What is Chair Yoga: Chair Yoga offers a way to improve your balance, health and general wellbeing. Through an amazing form of adaptive exercises that blend breathing techniques and yoga postures you will leave each class feeling renewed and refreshed.

Meet Our Instructors: 

TAI CHI: Stu Reis has studied Tai Chi Chuan for more than 15 years and continues his training in New York City with Grand Master William C.C. Chen, a senior disciple of the late Great-Grandmaster Professor Cheng Man-Ching. He is also certified by the American Red Cross in Adult First Aid and CPR/AED.

YOGA: Iekelien Buurman has a background in the European corporate world and is a down to earth instructor. She has been teaching yoga for 12 years now and loves to teach in a clear and straightforward way. As she was educated in different yoga styles, both in the Netherlands and the USA, she blends the workout in a way that feels just good for you with personalized solutions. The classes are sequenced thoughtfully and accessible for every – body!
