1 - 1 Sound Bath Meditation
With Sound Therapist Gary Posner
Friends, I would like to invite you to try a 1 - 1 Sound Bath Meditation. Practicing Sound Meditation Weekly can have deep healing and restorative effects. A recent study published in the Journal of Evidence-Based Integrative Medicine found that weekly hour-long sound meditations help to reduce tension, anger, anxiety, and increase spiritual well-being in adults
Sound Baths Meditations are a combination of restorative yoga, meditation and a sacred sound concert. They can reduce stress, enable deep relaxation, enhance creativity, uplift the spirit and help with insomnia. Sound Meditations re-sync and slow down our brainwaves and guide us into a deep meditative state or altered state of consciousness. This is a very healing state. It is the vibrational equivalent of deep sleep.
Participants lay down comfortably and then are “immersed” in the sounds, vibrations and harmonics of the instruments. Gongs, Himalayan bowls, crystal singing bowls, tuning forks and shamanic percussion instruments are played in a clinically tested, therapeutic sequence to maximize benefits. No previous knowledge or experience is required. Sound is a very accessible form of meditation where benefits are usually experienced right after the first session. You simply lay down and bathe in the ocean of sound.
Please bring a yoga mat, water and a blanket. You will be laying down for most of the session.
