About the Event

Friends, I would like to invite you to 3 Daytime,   relaxing and meditative, Thursday Afternoon Sound Bath Meditations.

Each week we will start with chakra toning. Toning, a form of sound healing, is the practice of making vowel sounds for an extended period of time for therapeutic or meditative purposes. Toning has  been shown to increase our oxygen level, lymphatic circulation, melatonin, pain reliever hormones, nitric oxide which releases oxytocin, and decreases blood pressure. This is a wonderful mid-day practice.  We will then lay down for a 45 min Sound Meditation.  While in the evening we spend most of our time in the "Gong section," for the afternoons we will focus on the relaxing Crystal Bowls. The session will end with a Chakra Energizing Bija Mantra.

Sound Baths are a combination of restorative yoga, meditation and a sacred sound concert. They have been shown to reduce stress, enable deep relaxation, enhance creativity, uplift the spirit and help with insomnia. Sound Meditations slow down your brainwaves and guide you into a deep meditative state or altered state of consciousness.  Participants lay down comfortably and then are “immersed” in the sounds, vibrations and harmonics of the instruments. Gongs, Himalayan bowls, crystal singing bowls, tuning forks and shamanic percussion instruments are played in a clinically tested, therapeutic sequence to maximize benefits.   No previous knowledge or experience is required. Sound is a very accessible form of meditation where benefits are usually experienced right after the first session.

You will need: An exercise or yoga mat and water.   Here is a link to an extra thick Mat .

Optional: You will be laying down for 50 mins, so having a blanket, pillow and eye pillow will add additional comfort to your experience.

Dates are:

Thursday 16th
