About the Event

Although all women experience menopause, there is little understanding about this stage in a woman’s life. How can you comprehend and communicate your unique menopause experience to your clinician and how can you advocate for your care in an environment where few clinicians have menopause training? Lisa will share practical language, a guide to prepare for your clinician visit , and strategies to help you advocate for the care you deserve.

We’ll open and close with a brief yoga and breath practice to help you tune into your inner voice and build the self-trust that’s so essential during times of change.

Lisa McDonald is a public health advocate with a background in women’s health and environmental policy. She is the Director of Health Policy and Advocacy at The ‘Pause Life, an organization started by Dr Mary Claire Haver to increase the public’s understanding of menopause and empower women to better navigate…
