Fonrose Cottage Facelift
UPDATE:
Phase one is complete! Thanks to your generosity, we were able to paint the interior and purchase new beds! Next up is phase two which includes the painting of the exterior as well as much needed landscaping! Please enjoy the new images below!

Wainwright House is entirely self-funded.
Each year, we must raise over $500,000 to care for the Mansion, Fonrose Cottage, the Carriage House and 5 acres of property - it's a BIG JOB! We do it out of love, to continue our charity's mission as an important community gathering place, wellness and educational center.
About Fonrose Cottage
Colonel and Mrs. Wainwright had only one child, a daughter named Fonrose. Fonrose married Philip Condict and lived in what is now known as Fonrose House until her death in 1983 at age 90. With no children of her own, she wanted to find a charitable and worthwhile purpose for WH as a memorial to her parents. In 1951, she created Wainwright House, with the belief that there should be a place under one roof where people from all backgrounds and beliefs and even no beliefs at all--could aspire to have a deeper understanding of others.
The Project Details
Fonrose Cottage, to the left of the mansion, is an important asset - but it hasn't been updated in 40 years! That's where you come in. We need to act quickly to continue to refurbish the cottage, so it can better contribute to our programming and retreats in 2024 and beyond. Phase one is complete! Next up: Phase two, which includes painting of the exterior and much needed landscaping.
